The Indie Music scene has grown rapidly in the last few years.  Many small recording studios and producers are taking on bands and are proving that the independent status relating to this scene is not dampening the appreciation that it is stirring in many people.  It is also encouraging to see that the genre of Indie music is now taking in a bigger scope of rock, pop, jazz and R&B groups, where it concentrated more on ballad and folk music style groups previously.
